The Ann O’Neill Baraldi Award. Ann was a longtime executive board member and a faithful Alumni Supporter. This award is given in loving memory from her family.
Brown Family Award is in Honor of Robert Brown who was a three sport HHS-BMHS Hall of Famer, and his wife Heather Brown, a longtime supporter of the Alumni Association. Donated in their memory by their loving family.
The Mary-Jo O’Mahony Colburn Memorial Award. Mary-Jo taught at the Dutile Elementary and the Locke Middle School, a beloved teacher who is honored by her family and friends.
William (Bill) Robbins and the Sonny Robbins Award. Bill was a unique 14 letter awardee and a Hall of Fame member. He was a tremendous athlete and friend. Bill’s brother, Sonny was a great athlete in his own right and continued to partake in baseball as an umpire. He was also a supporter of the Alumni. This award is given in loving memory by their family.
The Sheila Russell Award. Sheila is a 1981 graduate from BMHS, she was an excellent athlete playing volleyball, winter and spring track, running the hurdles and throwing the javelin. This award is given in loving memory from her family.
The Class of 1959 Award. This annual award is given by the class of 1959, who raise money through the dedication of their class.
Grant Whiteway, Sr. Award. Grant, a 1951 graduate of Howe High School and a longtime executive member of the Alumni Board. Grant and his wife Rose Anne worked on the Alumni Association for many years. This scholarship is given in his memory by his family.
BMHS Alumni Award is an annual award given out by the Alumni Association.
HHS Alumni Award in honor of all those who walked the halls of the Howe High School.
The 50 Year Class Award in the name of the Class of 1969. This award is an annual award given in honor of the current class celebrating 50 years since graduation. This year the Class of 1969.
Karyn (Hansis) Marmiani Memorial Award – Karyn is a 1959 graduate and a Billerica Athletic Hall of Famer. After school Karyn started her own business, Karyn’s Kookies. This scholarship is given in her memory by her loving family.
Ralph Brigham Award: Ralph was a graduate of 1944, and sat on the HHS-BMHS Alumni Board as Treasurer. Ralph was very active in all aspects of the Town of Billerica. This award is in his memory.
Framingham State University Scholarship: This scholarship has been established to encourage interest in and matriculation at Framingham State University. Dr. Roberta Walsh (Emeritus Professor, Florida Gulf Coast University) is alumna of BMHS (class of 1962) and Framingham State (Class of 1966) This award is in the amount of $1,500.00 and will be chosen only if an applicant has enrolled, been accepted and has put a deposit. (This award is through FSU and directed at a student from Billerica High).
The Arthur and Charlotte (Bernard) Johansen Family Scholarship: Arthur (class of 1949) and retired teacher, housemaster and vice principal of BMHS, and Charlotte (Class of 1950) was past president of the Alumni Association and music teacher. This one time award should go to a student who wishes to pursue a degree in the education/teaching field.
The Albert C. Solomon Memorial Scholarship: In Memory of Albert C. Solomon, Class of 1969. Al was a true hero who would have celebrated his 50th class reunion this year. Donated in his memory by his loving family.
The Mal Marshall Memorial Scholarship: This award is presented by the Marshall Family in memory of Malcom, who was a proud member of the class of ‘59”. Mal was a former Billerica Firefighter and entrepreneur of Marshall’s Auto Body and Sales and Property Developer. He was driven to succeed in life and helped others in that endeavor.
The Doug Dooley, Class of 1961 Scholarship Awards: Through the generosity of Doug Dooley, Class of 1961, scholarships will be given out to eleven BMHS Seniors. Doug is the owner of DRACO Homes in Dracut. He is the husband of Gail (McGurn) Dooley, Class of 1962. Doug and Gail have been married 50 years and have two beautiful daughters and seven grandchildren.
